Alternative Daily Cover/Erosion Control
ALTERNATIVE DAILY COVER
 Spray COVERTOP on designated waste areas with one part COVERTOP mixed with ˝ to one part water. If Leachate is approved for use, it can replace water. Product will dry within 30 to 60 minutes to a thickness of less than 1/8 of an inch, encapsulating all waste and works in conjunction with existing Leachate collection waste systems. One person can mix product in about ten minutes and then spray 5,000 to 10,000 sq. ft. of waste in about 30 minutes. Product can be premixed and left in the spray unit for use the next day.
The permeability of COVERTOP used for ADCM can be controlled over a large range by changing the mixture of the concentrate by adding water. Therefore, different mixtures of COVERTOP can be used for low permeability at hazardous waste landfills or for a relatively high permeability at solid landfills.
EROSION CONTROL/HYDROSEEDING
COVERTOP can be used as a soil stabilizer to stop or prevent erosion by spraying a mixture of one part COVERTOP with one to two parts water. COVERTOP will coat the surface of the soil, absorbing and collecting dirt and dust particles, which hardens together to become a solid surface that will prevent erosion. In areas where erosion and grass seeding is required, spray a combination of COVERTOP at the above ratios with the addition of seasonal seed/fertilizer to the mix as you would in a normal hydroseeding application.
DUST CONTROL
COVERTOP will absorb loose sand particles and set up to provide a firm surface which remains hard and solid. Mix COVERTOP with one to three parts water for spray applications. COVERTOP can be applied on roads, parking lots, construction sites, etc. or wherever dust is a problem. On roadways, spray COVERTOP completely across the road and spray three to five feet outside the roadway to stop swirling dust. For landfills, spray the mixture on the roadway just before closing the landfill for the day. Subsequent applications would be applied based on road use. COVERTOP will also prevent blowing of incinerated waste when applied.
